Suzanne Wilding

American author. Ms. Wilding wrote a well-loved traditional pony series about two horsy sisters, and also edited two books of short horsy fiction. As well as the pony books noted, she also penned some non-fiction books on horse care and riding and a book about the winners of America's Triple Crown. Many of her books are illustrated by the great horsy illustrator (and fellow pony book author) Sam Savitt

More information on both of these compilations can be found on the  American Short Stories web page. Horses, Horses, Horses is reasonably easy to find in the USA, but harder elsewhere. (It must be noted that the book is not to be confused with another by the same name edited by Phyllis Fenner.) The other compilation is a little harder to find.
